Playwrights
If you have a new play that you think might be right for AboutFACE, why not submit it to our annual NEWvember Festival? Our yearly showcase of rehearsed readings of exciting new plays, now entering its 8th year, is our main route to discovering new writing. It takes place over one weekend in Dublin’s city centre — there is no fee for submissions, and all plays are read blind of name or gender by our panel.
The spirit of NEWvember is to provide a dynamic, interactive and comfortable place where writers can hear their plays read by professional actors, and discuss their work and creative process with the audience. Several plays developed at the festival have gone on to Irish, Off-Broadway and regional American productions, and to win major awards, including our upcoming World Premiere of “The Gods of the Ozarks” by Matt Kelly.

Actors
Get to know us by coming to one of our Great Plays Gang sessions! Once a month, we host an opportunity for actors to get together in an informal, cosy setting in Dublin’s city centre, and over drinks, perform in a table reading of a large-cast, masterwork play.
